Programs & Ministry

From prison cells to village gatherings — BWUWA women are advancing the Kingdom across West Africa.

BWUWA's programs are rooted in the Great Commission — to make disciples of all nations. Our ministry touches lives through evangelism, discipleship, compassionate outreach, and youth empowerment across the 12 nations of West Africa.

Evangelism & Missions

Carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every corner of West Africa — in homes, marketplaces, churches, and communities.

BWUWA women are passionate evangelists and missionaries. Through organized outreach campaigns, door-to-door evangelism, open-air crusades, and support for local church planting, our members actively participate in the spread of the Gospel across the region.

Our commitment to mission crosses national and language boundaries. English and French-speaking women collaborate on cross-border outreach initiatives, demonstrating the unifying power of the Gospel.

Bible Studies & Discipleship

Equipping Baptist women and girls with a deep, transforming knowledge of God's Word.

Strong disciples begin with strong foundations in Scripture. BWUWA organizes structured Bible study programs for women of all ages — from young girls in their formative years to mature women in leadership. Our studies are designed to be practical, culturally relevant, and spiritually nourishing.

Special programs target young Baptist girls, helping them grow in faith, develop godly character, and discover their calling — investing in the next generation of West African Baptist women.

Prison Ministry

Bringing the light of the Gospel and the love of Christ behind prison walls to women who are forgotten by society.

Inspired by Matthew 25:36 — "I was in prison and you came to visit me" — BWUWA women enter prisons across West Africa to minister to female inmates. In Cameroon and other member nations, our teams bring food, conduct Gospel services, offer pastoral counselling, and provide practical support to incarcerated women.

Many women have found salvation and transformation through this ministry, and BWUWA continues to expand its prison outreach, believing that no person is beyond the reach of God's grace.

"I was in prison and you came to visit me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

— Matthew 25:36, 40

Youth & Girls' Programs

Investing in the next generation of West African Baptist women — building faith, character, and Kingdom purpose.

BWUWA understands that the future of the Church in West Africa depends on the young women being raised today. Our youth programs create safe, nurturing, and inspiring environments where girls can grow in their faith and discover their gifts.

Activities include Bible study groups, leadership camps, mentoring relationships between younger and older women, skills training, and youth participation in the biennial conferences.

Disaster Relief & Community Care

When disaster strikes, BWUWA women are first responders — bringing practical help and God's comfort to those in need.

West Africa faces recurring natural disasters including devastating floods, droughts, and displacement. BWUWA has a proven track record of mobilizing women across the region to provide emergency assistance — food, clothing, shelter support, and pastoral care — to affected communities.

Our holistic approach ensures that physical needs are met alongside spiritual needs, offering both material relief and the enduring hope of the Gospel to those suffering.
